but change it to be personalized to the student.
5. Open Conversation Practice:
First, we use the example conversation as a starting point for a more open conversation afterwards.
This flows more like a discussion, where we talk about a broad topic without focusing on set structures.
In addition to that general structure,
I also have experience teaching topic-based lessons. For example,
I taught weekly newspaper based lessons at my conversation school.
I have also taught specialized lessons about slang, politics, essay writing, and business proposals.
Overall, as an instructor, I try to provide both a clear and organized style of teaching that
allows the student to feel comfortable practicing conversation no matter what level they are.
I want to make beginners feel at ease speaking in English, while also leaving space
open for more advanced students to practice native style conversation.

I tailor the class around the students’ needs.
I would like to conduct a short assessment to see where they are standing and,
from there, decide if they are at beginner, middle, or advanced level,
whether they are taking lessons for an upcoming exam or
an interview or just needing to polish their English. Generally,
I like the direct and communicative methods.
I would like to encourage the students to speak as much as
they can and have their mistakes corrected accordingly.
As well as discussing a topic freely, where their pronunciation, grammar,
and vocabulary can be honed.
I also would require them to use English-to-English translators as much
as possible, which can help them to learn new words. Overall,
I provide a calm and non-judgmental environment for my students where
they can ask any question and have their doubts clarified.
