I really enjoy the TPR method, I have always used it, especially with children,
but I try to adapt myself with adult learners as well,
so I try to be fun and very simple in my instructions to avoid any confusions.

My instruction style relies heavily upon the student.
This is especially true if 1-1 or a small group. The student's level, goals,
and personality all play key roles in how I approach each lesson.
Students often say I'm easy to understand, funny, and correct problems
I hear even if that is not in the planned lesson.
If I hear something during a lesson that is more basic/fundamental
I have no problem stopping the lesson to ensure the foundation is strong.
With almost 1 GB of English materials saved for every year
I've taught ESL it's only a matter of moments before
I can pull up a handout or .ppt to share.
Once the more urgent problem is corrected I return to the lesson.

I focus on the individual's needs.
I believe that interactive and fun lessons help my students achieve speaking
and comprehension quickly.
I think that providing resources that work on speaking, listening and reading
fast tracks the process of learning.

I believe having a student-centered style of teaching is the best way to approach
English teaching.
It helps the student become comfortable and feel they are meeting their goals
specifically.
Students, regardless of age or background,
have different reasons for wanting to learn English,
and being able to help them achieve their goals, in particular,
allows them to gain confidence in their abilities.
Adding activities that expand on English by incorporating different subjects
promotes learning and prevents the classes from becoming uninteresting.

I am a student focused teacher.
I like to make my lessons engaging and fun.
I believe it is important to identify where each student is at in their knowledge
and understanding and then help them to grow from there.
